Indeed, and no doubt he did. But Carl isn't giving us much to work with.

I know I am a bit late to this show, but the best boots I have ever owned was a custom made pair from Olathe Boot Company I lived in the Kansas City area for close to 10 years. They traced my feet, measured my feet in all different kinds of ways & made them for ME. They lasted through 3 or 4 soles before I had them so beat up that I had to retire them. What I am getting at is that if you truly want a comfortable boot, find a custom maker who will make them for you. Sure, there are some nice boots available out there...but they never fit the same since they are made for the "average" foot. I have worn a LOT of boots, and what I can say is that I would NEVER mail order them. Shoes/Boots are something you must try on IMO.

Phew, thought afterwards that I might get a "that was me what's wrong with ny clothes" sort of reply :-). Mayhaps carl is toying with us, probably knows exactlywhat he wants and is just seeing what milage can be got from this thread, or we have thoroughly confused his style radar and now it needs fixing :-). To be fair we did get a comprehensive rundown at the start if the intended outfits, so there was some intent there, but now its all gone wrong.though I am enjoying talking about clothes, and is making me rethink my adoptive Australian wardrobe, however until I get thinner am not buying new clothes.

Oh. Sorry. Now you've hurt my feelings. I'm banning you too...

(although that is the look I was after, on days that I wear jeans to work, anyway)

No, Franky is on the mark pretty well now, although I'm not real sure about the yellow jumper. The last picture is not really my style, but I do like the jeans, jacket and waistcoat look. Cindy says I'll get bashed or raped or both if I wear a waistcoat to work (I work in a prison).

I want a casual look but ALSO mostly I want to be able to wear the boots with trousers and a French cuff shirt (no tie). I think the boots I posted last are it.

I really can't believe this thread is up to 11 pages.

Hello gang! I've been staying away from this thread, didn't have much to contribute, I haven't worn boots in years. But, in the attempt to help Carl with fashion tips, I found something. I think he should look into getting a pair of these. Not only would they be practical, defense for some of the nasty critters down his way, but they open so many avenues for accessories and so many outfit variations.
