You could decide whether you wanted them to get some nice brassy patination or polish them manically...Steel toe caps for black boots, brass ones for brown...
Laugh as you may about toe caps but this is why I want them. My son stopped over for a visit and laughed when I wanted to take a picture of his boots. These are about 6 months old but 3 months of that was finishing school. So basically 3 months apprenticeship and this is what he has got.

I am glad I don't have to work that hard anymore! He even admitted I might be right and he should get "some of that stuff" himself.

They just need a bit of a polish up, they'll be good as new.

If you keep those boots to shiny your boss might think that you are not working!

Yeah, I had that comment at work too, I wear them scuffed occasionally, usually if I am too tired to give em a clean up.

I have scuffed them up two days in a row now. Grrr.

    I did some work today,
I took a broken crate full of scrap aluminium and restacked it into a new crate.
3360 blanking plugs to be precise.
I would show you a photo but the uploader isn't working.
