    Thanks.

I'm not a big fan of the white also. But I know once I wear them out it will darken up so I'm not too fussed about it.

I have to say that I don't really like most of the shoes there.
The shoes in the polishing demo are kind of nice, if they were a boot version, without the decoration it would be pretty much what I want. I like your boots by the way Carl, they would be exactly or as close to as made no difference, if they had eyelets all the way up.
Mick might know the answer to this, could the lace hooks be removed and eyelets installed?
Eyelets are such a time waster.

    But Velcro is ugly.

I remember when Moon Boots were the rage. My mother and sisters got some and the velcro worked alright until they wore them in the hay barn.

Now there's a mental picture for you, Mum and the siblings in the hay barn, wearing moonboots! Your hay barn must have been out of this world 32t .

Lots of grand adventures went on in that barn. Forts, tunnels, wars, mazes. Some in this world and some out of it. No video games to tell us what our adventure for the day was going to be.

I agree, the loop things at the top are a great time saver, much better than eyelets all the way up. My other boots have four eyelets and four loopy things; so do the ones I'm getting, the recent brown ones have 4 and 3, it's possibly worrying that I know this.

Loopy things COULD be a negative on military boots (they could snag on things, esp when 'going to ground' (i.e. diving on the ground and sliding to cover) or snag on cam nets (if you've uncovered a Unimog with a cam net at 4 in the morning in the rain and cold you'll get the drift)...

I never tuck my pants in my boots or wear shorts so mine are covered at all times.
