The spine-work is the easy part, the hollowing is the hard part. Talk to the person who you plan to use on the heat treatment for recommendations on how thick to leave the steel.

I've made several since then...making a grinder like Brads right now, just have the VFD and drive wheel left for parts and then the tweaking to get it right. Then I'll get back to making more.

No changes really...until I decided to shave with it today. As I was taking it from my razor cabinet, I dropped it! Blade is safe, but the scales have developed a crack at tthe pivot point along the grain of the wood. I'll have to rescale it now. I'm thinking ironwood or horn...time will tell now.

That is really cool and I hope my first razor comes out half as good as that. I was actually thinking about using my belt/disc combo since that is all I have. I have steel coming should be here next week and then we begin! That is really a good looking razor and an inspiration for me. Thanks shooter
