Good work. I've thought about making one myself, but due to lack of time and not begin a great machinist, I decided to just buy one. I can tell you one thing though: once you have it running, you'll have a ton of fun with it

Thanked: 1936I went the "grinder in a box" method, there are a lot of ideas out there. Just take the best of each and make it your own!

Still gotta cut down the arm, and add a bracket on the back of the plate for the drive rod to go thru on flange bearings

Just got in from the shop. drilled the bolt hole for the 10" contact wheel and drilled and tapped two holes to slide in and hold the tool rest like the KMG setup.

Thank you Charlie. That means alot coming from you... Here is a few pics of the the bolt hole for the 10" contact wheel and the two tapped holes to slide in and hold the tool rest. I'm gonna get a shorter bold for the contact wheel to ride on. Just threw this one in for the photo.

I cut out a 10 inch, a 4 inch, and a 3 inch wheel from three-quarter inch ply wood. Once I grab the belt I will be able to approximately know where the other wheels are going. I have some pillow Blocks on the way.
