Afternoon Gents!
I meant to throw my hat in the ring the other day but managed to get lost....
I would love to come to Chicago, I've never been there. From a Vendor's point of view, we need an extra day or half day to set up before everyone arrives ( and maybe the same in reverse)
and when you say Chicago is expensive....what does that mean exactly ??? Should I bring a loaf of bread and some kippers to tide me over

Any particular reason for Chicago? Vegas is much cheaper for flights and hotels...generally about 1/2 to 1/3 for flights alone.

Thanked: 9Did anybody say Orlando! MIAMI wohoo
Yeah, if it's in the autumn / winter... Chicago, don't know
Anyway I might also be able to help with planning and organization, and my wife might help with design. She's Dep. Art Director in a company that does a lot of T-shirts design and printing for Sea World, Universal, etc. - too bad they seem to be dropping small orders (not as profitable) and while she might do a design for free they won't be able to print it...
A T is always a good idea for a convention.
What is more exciting though: let's talk about the activities:
- vendor exhibits
- workshops
- product demonstrations
- fashion show (wet T, whatever )
- cocktails / galas
- advanced shaving techniques clinics
Saved the best for last: SHAVE OFF FACE OFF: contestants from the general audience, vendors, and organizers enter with their own best / favorite equipment with a jury of shaving gurus and (female) models judging them and giving awards on stuff like:
- Shave set-up - beauty, utility, most creative, cheapest, most expensive, most elabotate, most minimalist
- Speed
- Quality of shave
- Etc.
Ah, I can only imagine the hyper-madness when a bunch of guys (and a few gals) show up on stage with their set ups... Who would bring what and how would they (i.e. - we) perform under the burning blinding lights? People need to start training already!
This is the stuff from which legends are made
There is one problem, though: Rich (RichZ) *might* not be able to showcase his natural talent and acquired skills with the 15/16 Dorko in full
Cheers

Thanked: 0Count me in as an attendee. I will either be in Chicagoland or Fort Wayne, IN. Either way, sounds like a good way to do things.
