This sounds sooooooooo cool. We can put a face to all of the words we see on the forums.
if anything has been abnormal for a long enough period it then becomes normal.

Thanked: 4942We are still a go and are looking for a date and the best deal on meeting rooms and a Hotel/Motel. B&B has indicated they will be participating as well. This will be a wet shaving extravaganza if we can pull it off.
Thanks,
Lynn

Thanked: 90I think Chicago would be great. I would love to go by train, as that is one of the few towns that is well served by Amtrack.
Unfortunately for me, however, it's not likely that I would ever be able to get the time or money to go. At least, not for a few years. I'm sorta' married to my job here, and she's a pretty demanding one, at that.
Depending on what sort of turnout you get for the first Straight Razor Convention, maybe you could hold one every year? I'm hoping that we could move it around a bit. Maybe one in the South East? Or, maybe in the Northwest?
If the convention is small enough, and in the off season (Nov-Mar), I could host it at my hotel (here's my website, Discoverycoastonline.com). If it's pretty good sized, then the local Merchants Assn. would love to get involved (here's my towns website Funbeach.com). Even if it weren't on the off season, I'm sure we could find a non-holiday weekend that I could discount rates for.
Yeah, I know, I know, it seems like I'm just tryin' to drum up business, but how the hell am I gonna' get to the convention otherwise?
