Thanked: 0Chicago -- yes!
Chicago is great for me. In-laws there. Always looking for something interested to do.
If you pick your time, the hotel $$ isn't terrible. Don't forget public transit and cabs cut down the expense of car rental and parking! If you're in the loop, food can be a bit spending so you might need to pack goodies, Colleen!
I really like the idea of hands-on workshops. Having someone *look* at what you do and dynamically tweak your activity would generate a huge jump in expertise. I've seen it happen in fly tying (another obsession here) and it is amazing!
So, yes, provided it's over a weekend. (I have classes to teach during the week and things are so much cheaper on the weekend!)
What a great idea and plan!

Hello there!
I was just reading along and saw my name....lol. I don't know how much shaving stuff I can bring with me.
The trip to Chicago is turning into a learning experience all by itself.....I think it's a 9 hour drive from here to there. I love y'all but I ain't drivin 9 hours. Flying would be great! but I need to check weight limits etc. for carrying supplies aaaannndd then....... someone mentioned awhile back about using the train service "which I had forgotten about".
So I checked that too....Amtrack runs thru a blip on the map here called "Princeton". As the crow flies it's about 15 minutes from here, but you have to get there by traveling down Battoff mountain so its about 40 mi. from our house. I have no idea how that is really spelled, around here its pronounced Bad-off mountain...because if you wreck on the way down....you're Bad Off
...and guess what THEY have service STRAIGHT to Chicago I am so excited I can hardly stand it...yippee! I've never been on a train before and I think it would be great fun to travel to Chicago that way and it may be easier to bring my show containers with me if I go by train.
Soooo either by air or train.....I plan on be'in there

Thanked: 0Will manufacturers of fine shaving stuff have Shavecon "In-Show" discounts? Lol.
Too bad it's not Pencon, but I'm sure I could bring some to use as bartering bait. okay, I should probably shut up about pens.
YAY FOR SHAVECON!

Thanked: 335ShaveCon
Do there be dates for this event? While this is not an unusual sensation for me, I feel I'm missing something. Can I bring my Norelco?
-maybe that'll jar something loose, Bruce
