One more thing hipsley.....I also have an ICD due to a borderline ejection fraction.....I'm on my 2nd one and I'm not going for a 3rd. I already told the cardiologist that he can cap the leads, when the next replacement is needed. If this is something they suggest, think about it. A friend told me a long time ago.....if you can help it, don't let a doctor take anything out or put anything into your body. OK, I've got the stent, not much I can do about that, but having an ICD sticking out of your chest is something else altogether. What they will not tell you about the leads going into your heart is that they have warranties! And some on the market right now are delaminating as in the silicon coating is coming off the wire lead that delivers the electric shock to the heart.

Back in 2005 I had 3 stents put in. No idea the ALD artery a.k.a. "Widowmaker" was clogged about 90% at the time. That was the worst of the three. Yikes!! Now taking all kind of blood thinners. Have been for the past 9 years. Never gave up using a straight. A dinky cut or nick while shaving isn't gonna cause you to bleed out. Only thing the blood thinner regimine really had an affect on with me is it kept me from going to Kurdistan...not a bad thing in retrospect.
No worries, you will do fine. Key thing to remember though...this is a shave forum. Defer to your doctor's advice.Last edited by Phoenix51; 10-11-2014 at 03:07 PM.
