I had bypass surgery at the age of 63 and was on blood thinning medication for a year afterwards. Everyone in my remedial fitness class moaned about shaving nicks and the difficulty of stemming the flow - I learned to keep some medicated talcum powder for the worst ones but never stopped using my straight - apart from the three weeks I was in hospital. As someone said earlier, the routine of showering and shaving lifts your spirits so go ahead.

When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It's difficult only for the others.
It's the same when you are stupid.

I have a new saying when crap occurs, "If you can't laugh, what's the use?"

I also found that if I look close enough the littlest, littlest little thing often brings a smile to my face and my psyche glows with happiness. And that chases the gloomy away.
