Thanked: 1081Im a bit of a throw back, im 36 years old, use a straight razor, smoke a pipe and up until Christmas sported a handlebar moustache. One of these days im going to get a penny farthing.
Im an amateur boxer and I love victorian England with its murky history including bare knuckle boxing so my avatar is me in a tribute to that era.

Right. So my wife and I used to live in Berlin in a 1926 villa with a 1926 bathroom. My avatar is the result of my getting distracted while shaving. The wife in the bedroom, and her dressing gown still in the bathroom, played a crucial part in the making of that image.

My avatar is the United States Army Pathfinder Badge.
The basic service of Pathfinders in Vietnam was to identify, assess, and enter helicopter landing zones to provide navigational assistance and all information relevant to inbound
helicopters for infantry combat assault missions. The motto of the U.S. Pathfinders "First In, Last Out".Last edited by lz6; 05-01-2016 at 10:39 PM.

An old cliche of the mighty snail navigating the edge of a razor. Made famous by Marlon Brando's dream in the movie Apocalypse Now. The snail is in reality able to navigate a razors edge without harm. Like the Snail i too aspire to this ability in a more practical sense.

Mine is Confucius.
We didn't have cameras in those days and we used to pal around quite a bit. I always told him he should write down those witticisms he came up with all the time and he used to say who cares about those things. I said one day.....No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
