Well, I limit myself to a couple soap samples twice a year. I never have more than two full sized pucks of soap on hand. I very rarely use an aftershave so that means a bottle will last about a year. I have one DE razor, one shavette, and two straights. I will selling all my straights, along with my hones, within the month. I gave myself a year to learn to hone and for whatever reason I couldn't pick it up so out the door they go. I have a three brushes. Two will sold with my straights.
I don't buy for want, only need.

No budget here. I just got back from a detachment where I had no internet for about 5 weeks so now its catch up for lost time....I need a new brush and razor. I haven't been able to get on here or make any purchases. Its been rough haha.

Momma controls the budget so if I get to crazy she tells me.

Well, actually, yes. My wife and I both work. Zero on credit cards. As long as I make more than X, I get $50 a week allowance. Truck drivers' pay varies from week to week depending on miles and what the load pays. So roughly about $200 a month allowance. Lately most of it has gone to blades and stones, or accessories. Building a nice collection.
A little advice: Don't impede an 80,000 lbs. 18 wheeler tanker carrying hazardous chemicals.

    Budget? No...

If something is a really good deal I buy it, but otherwise I pass. I also stay off the bay. These two rules alone seem to naturally keep my budget well within "reasonable limits".

    Only buy what you need?

I'm sorry, I just can't wrap my brain around the concept : )

I don't really have a budget per say, but here lately I have been getting more into this hobby than I have in the past I spend what I can get away with and net have the wife get up my rear about it. As long as all the bills are paid she usually don't bother me she is pretty supportive when I keep myself entertained.

Right now my budget is zero...
At least I have plenty to use, a couple to restore, and lots of shave soap and aftershave.
