Thats the same as what I do, funny when the GF looks at my ebay page and see's how much I have sold and then scratches her head when she see's how little is left on paypal lol. always seems to be something in the post.

In my case it's yes my budget is restricted so for me all my shaving equipments is carefully choosen. To me shaving is à pleasent thing but i used what it works. I just can afford a straight $100 or more so as a $20 or more soap or cream, it's The same for a shaving brush. Most of my Straights are vintage so as my DE's, lots of my soaps where gifts exept for some brand very cheap like Williams or Arko, but for The others like Cella, tabac, Stirling and MWF They where given to me for my birthday or Christmass or else. This is no complain but Life is not eassy to everybody, for those who can afford it that fine but for others we have limits.

When I first started SR shaving, I didn't really have a budget. I wanted to try many things. As time went by, my purchases decreased, since I realized that my soaps, creams and oils may outlive me. Having a lot of shave stuff, and bouncing from using one then another, really stretches the life of each soap and cream. I haven't purchased a new soap or cream in over a year now. However, now and then, I like to check out the aftershave lotions.

Now, a few years later, my spending has pretty much halted. I've gotten to the point of making my own aftershave splash, and I realize that I'm good... for now.

I don't buy much at all anymore. I have enough razors and don't really have any desire to add more, the few brushes I have are more than enough, and I have several years' worth of soap. My hones are sufficient to last my lifetime and then some. At this point, any addition would have to be simply amazing or a gift. I'll replace soaps that get finished, but I won't be looking to add anything new.

I have waited until now to respond to this post I started a while ago. In general I don't have a budget...but I am mindful of how much I spend. I went through various phases of acquisition: soaps/creams, brushes, blades, DE/SE and more recently SRs. I don't need any hardware for the rest of my life...and my soaps and creams and aftershaves will easily last me another 5+ years. I do, however, find myself window shopping for higher end SRs....and I do have to be careful...I could easily find my finger hitting, "complete purchase"...or "buy it now".
