Thanked: 271OK, I'm back with my questions:
I would start by asking about the man's occupation looking to distinguish between being precise and technical versus routine and predictable: programmer, salesman, straight razor guy, accountant, janitor, DE guy (no offense meant to janitors or accountants).
I would ask about sports and recreational activities: roller blader or played hockey, straight, swimming or volleyball, DE. I might even ask if he had ever considered riding his bike to work.
As a backup question I would try and gauge tolerance for frustration and desire to take on a challenge: have you ever done something just because you heard it was difficult and wanted to master a unique skill? You're a straight guy. Did you ever get a girl to go out with you after she said no the first two times? You're a straight razor guy.

Thanked: 293I can build a computer from spare parts. But I'm not sure that's the kind of DIY this guy had in mind.
