I agree w/ Johnny J--own it!
her: "That's 'unusual'; none of my friends use that..."
you: "Do I look like I care?"
I hear you about the 20 years old, "well developed" thing, but for me, personally, anyone who tells me I should be "normal" (a polite word for boring, in my book) gets the boot. Someone who embraces mediocrity is never worth keeping around very long... Crass it may be, but you'll be happier in the long run!

Thanked: 234It's odd that something as practical as SR shaving could lead people to believe your were 'disturbed'
It's obviously not that common these days, but the kit is still available to one degree or another in stores people use on a day to day basis.

I know, eh? I thought about defending them tooth and nail, but thought it wouldn't help my case. I guess "normal" is paying $25 for a couple of 5-bladed cartridges week after week...after week.

Thanked: 124Here's the thing, man. 20-y.o. chicks are flakiness personified*. If you ever actually get her into bed, it will be a miracle. But one sure way to kill your chances is to care about the outcome, and then supplicate/kiss azz/try to please. That sets up the subtext that you are inferior to her & she is doing you a favor. For two people to have a relationship, they must be equals, not goddess/supplicant. As paridoxical as it sounds, to get what you want, you must let go of your desire & not want.
But bear in mind, even when you do everything right, it will fail 95% of the time. However, when you do things the needy/weak/nice guy way, it will fail 100% of the time. That's my experience. YMMV.
* Just to be fair, 20-y.o. dudes are probably flakiness personified as well, but I've never dated them, so I don't know (or care)

Tell your mom that you've set the security on your facebook so that only friends can see it
If you haven't already done this, then this is the way to get people to get off your case about shaving with a straight. I don't know how hairy you are, but let it grow out a bit. Then get the best shave possible, leaving not a hair behind so that it's super smooth. Then go to mom and church lady and say "give it a feel". They usually shut up after that.

Thanked: 1Why didn't you tell the truth. Straight razors are the best way to skin a cat.
