There is one hobby that I like that I guess would be considered "old time" since don't think many do it anymore and it is called reading.

Reading is particularly relaxing this time of year. A good book or the paper, a Manhattan, and a fireplace. Can't be beat.

Not so much a hobby yet but I can see this turning into one... I started carrying a pocket watch and am really liking it.
They're kind of like razors in that they're older but better (kind of debatable in the case of watches) than current production pieces. There is also am insane amount of variety, different levels of rarity and quality, and they're just interesting things to me.

The only real "old fashioned" thing I do is fly-fish and tie my own flies. I almost enjoy the tying more than the fishing.
Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but it doesn't get you anywhere.

I have only caught some of my clothing a couple of times. I do seem to catch the ever popular tree fish and the hybrid limb fish. I love fly fishing tho. We went last summer to Colorado and did a 4 day backpacking/flyfishing trip. It was a blast. If anyone is interested, my brother-in-law has a video on youtube of us fishing. Here is the link:
