I'll bite. I used to have an 1985 Black Mustang GT 5.0 I was tinkering around with. What a toy.I have a big empty long stretch of wide open street around the corner from my house.I kept the mustang in the garage and would only drive it once in awhile.I would take this car and drag race on this street.I was pulled over quite a few times by this cool CHP officer, never gave me a ticket because he liked the car. He gave me the name Black Stang AL,so it kind of stuck.

Huh. Similar to the equivalent angle in flying and sailing.
Just think, you could have been ToeIn or ToeOut. Or perhaps Caster or Camber...

Gonna take a stab at this one and say yours is a combination of your name as well as many of your family members. Plus a few bits of the names of your favorite razors as well as that one car you really really liked when you were in your twenties. Unfortunately the resultant name was too large to fit here. So, after consultation with Don and some others, you started deleting parts of the name. Eventually you got to something that would fit into the box but it didn't make much sense. So you switched around some letters and then dropped those that seemed excess. Once you were done you were left with the letters Lynn.

...or it could just be the name of someone you know very well... :-)

    Talking

Mine, of course is just my first name, appropriate because on my mother's side my ancestry is mostly from German immigrants, with a little bit of Scotts.
Now, my avatar might need some explanation. It represents the Seminole chief Osceolas (various spellings). The actual picture is from one of the FSU mascots from some years ago, and looks quite a lot like I did 45 years ago. I'm 1/16th Seminole and 3/16ths Cherokee, but I couldn't find a suitable picture of Sequoya!

Went to Catholic school. Wasn't happy. So when you're a moody teen who is being made to learn Latin (and a little Greek) and you come across the "Stygian witches" in Macbeth you get curious. Stygian is Latin for "dark" or "brooding". It fit better a couple of decades ago, now it's just easy to remember and usually isn't taken.
