Thanked: 1So far I've just been a little on the sarcastic side. It won't bother me much to take it to the next level, Mr. Laager. Still no name, huh? How brave is that? Look at my signature on every post, Mr analyze. (What a nice root word) Gee, it wasn't very hard for you to figure out where my site was, and that I make knives and was in the military now was it? My goodness, my full name is here and there. And then you want to pretend you don't know it by referring to me as urleebird. Paa..leeze.
Here's something your no-longer-in-business persona needs to know. We are not here on this forum to provide evidence or convince anyone about anything. Especially not to someone with 7 posts. This community helps each other out with what we know or think about straight razors.
There are enough variances in viewpoints in these forums to make it a very valuable pot of information for anyone. There is certainly nothing wrong with dissent, but not in the way you did it... under the cloak of some mystical common sense while spewing antagonistic rhetoric. And you expect an extended hand in friendship after acting like a snot-nosed teenager? Common sense... because you say so? Yuh, ok...
Well, no. I think you're missing the point that at the time he was just a blacksmith. Young, inexperienced and not the well respected master he would become. A young fellow that had only just started up his own forge. A fellow in need of cashflow to support the undertaking. Not a person likely to set aside a substantial amount of product because it was good at that time.
And I certainly don't know everything - - - it just seems that way to people who don't know squat. Replace squat with the feces of your choice. Randy is more diplomatic about these things. I don't give a rat's patoot about being nice to people who don't deserve it. Guess you know where you fit in with me, now don't ya?
Ahh. I think I just figured it out. You only came over here for the FREE razor giveaway.

Laager,
I'll say it again. With your pious attitude, you are coming across as a "know-it-all". You state that these razors were "intentionally" set aside. All I ask is that you prove the statement. The fact that they were not sold proves nothing. Well, it proves that they were not sold.

That's all right, my max bid is a little more than that but that's all I'm going. I just picked up one of your razors. The only bad thing is I have another month over here in Japan before I'll be able to get home to use it.
Plus I have a bid in on the Goldedge and might be in trouble if I won both.Last edited by RayD; 04-30-2006 at 08:21 AM.
