And a 6/8 German made spike simply marked Supplee Hardware.
Got it for $8.00 at a junk store. No rust. Some black spots on
the blade but they cleaned up for the most part. Edge appears
good but not shave ready. Considering getting another paddle
strop from Tony with 3.0 and .25 grit to hone it up. Or I may
    just get a Norton 4/8.

Go ahead and get the 4k/8k. I can get great shaves using it, and better shaves using Tony's strop to smooth it out afterwards. If you've already got one pasted strop, invest in the stone before getting another. Just one man's opinion.

I technically have 3, but I have only really seen 2 of them. The third one Lynn has been wrestling with for a while.

Nobody will laugh. We all started somewhere, and one is ususlly the starting number.

You won't have only one for long unless you give it to someone and step away from this addicton now. If you stick with us for a month or so, you'll probably be well along the way to a full rotation!

Nobody's gonna laugh at that. You've got one helluva fine razor to start with. I'd put the Fillys up against anything made today. I want a Filly 7/8 myself. PM me if you wanna trade it.

Presently I have 209 razors. That's 2 silverware chests full and then some. 13 strops (pigskin, chamois, cowhide, horsehide shell, paddle and hanging, 14 barber hones (favorite is a Roxo), Norton 200 to 8k, Ice bear and Chinese finisher. 12 shaving brushes( prefer the Omega over badger). All the soaps lotions and potions. One bathroom dedicated to shaving. Got into straight razors by accident. Needed to cut specimens for my other hobby of vintage microscopes.Favorite razor is a Gotta.

Hey if it wasn't for the kindness of people on here I wouldn't have started anywyere I guess.

The extra razors I've gotten have mostly come from flea markets at 1 to 5 bucks each that I bought to learn how to hone and a couple turned out to be decent razors once I finished.

    Wow. Thats impressive.
Didn't I just see your name on the free razor give-away register? I thought the point of the give-away was to encourage new blood (pun absolutely intended).
