I agree. I don't pretend to understand the arguments around the second ammendment. However, I don't get the argument that it keeps the govt. in check. Maybe I'm naive, but isn't that what voting is for?

Voting only works if the government listens to the votes, which for now mostly seems to work, however there comes a point when talk is cheap, and force is required to accomplish a goal. I dont want to get into an arguement over the second amendment thing since that tends to ignite emotions, but most people that own or carry guns tend to have a different belief around 2A and there are a more of us than many people realize . We out number every army in the world many times over.

    • Hmm. Seems to me that if the station only wanted to sell diesel at this pump, they would not have included the unleaded stuff, ya think?
    • Oh, sorry. I wish I had known you would be arriving. Then, I could have waited across the street until you were done.
    • Do you snivel at the grocery store checkout when the person, who got there before you, has cheese in their basket instead of the Coco Puffs you have in yours?
    • Would you like a little cheese with your whine?
    • Please forgive me... you didn't look as important as you think you are, so I took the next available pump. BECAUSE I WAS HERE BEFORE YOU WERE!
    • Gonna miss your date with a sheep?
    • Oh, I am so so sorry. Let me stop the pump, pull out of your way and get back in line. I don't know what I could have been thinking.

Or you could have just looked at him with an expressionless face, and popped the hood. It would be a good time to check the oil, wash the windows, and possibly check the air in the tires.

You could have gotten a pen and a piece of paper out of your car, walked a little closer to the front of his truck, and without saying a word, written down his license plate number. Then turn around and go back to your car. Don't even say a word the whole time. Get in your car, take out your cell phone in his view and drive off while pretending to call someone. That will ruin the rest of his day, for sure. He will be cussing okie's for the next month.

Bill I love the comments lol, especially the one about the sheep haha...but I am beginning to wonder if you get death threats or slashed tires on a regular basis???

If someone starts a 2nd amendment thread, maybe it would encompass all three of those topics.

Now you are just trying to start an argument lol

That's one of the great things about CCW... It makes you aware of the places you shouldn't be. That's how I look at it.

I'm extremely polite, even when I'm not armed. I'm more polite when I am armed.

My 3 year old son has picked up on this...Only occasionally is a reminder needed for a "Please" or a "Thank You". The "Sirs" and "Mams" will come here shortly. I see no reason for my child to be a terror in public. I work hard to make it that way. Two things happen if he acts up badly in public 1) We leave. 2) He is reprimanded. That was the way my parents raised me and I turned out OK.
