Okay I made that up, but it's twue!

I missed updates on this thread, was busy.
Glad things are coming along, very interested in it all. As far as smell suggestions, I'll get back to you on that.
Still looking for a great refreshing toner spray. Something like a rose water that is ph balanced and all that good stuff.
Good luck in the laboratory Madame! Nice mask!
Cool that you should mention the rose! I do have a very nice Rose Hydrosol, I also have Rose essential oil from Turkey that is simply divine but have never made anything with it due to the cost. But it occurred to me oh a good month ago that hanging on to that rose is like the woman who won't use her good china because she's afraid of breaking it, and then ends up dying.......so what was the point of having it in the first place? That thought was enough to bring me back to the blending table to talk to rose lol.

So far the blend looks something like this: Rose, Bulgarian Lavender, Bourbon Vanilla, vitivert, cassie and ambergris

    Sound good ?

LOL @ more stuff is flammable than one would assume......boy I'll say And I think when you approach everything as having the potential to burst into flames, or to explode.........omg, it's all so exciting!!!! I've totally lost the urge to buy another pair of shoes lol

Sounds good to me! I know little of smell mixing, so I'll defer to your better knowledge.
I really like the aftershave Test A. Gonna be getting a few things when I can. I think my brother will be ordering some from you at the beginning of June, which includes some Test A for my son's birthday.

With regard to a moisturizing toner, I hope you will concoct a couple recipes, one for my wife and one for me.

The reason I'm big on the toner, is because throughout the day, on the worksite (construction), or coming home and having 10min to get ready (change clothes and splash face) and head out on errands or date night, my face will get dry or I'll just feel gunky... A good toner will moisturize and refresh, make ya feel presentable.
A little trick I learned from women back in my bachelor days!

    Good Morning! Hi MikeT

Yes Sir, toners are indeed very important and I could talk about this subject at length but will hold off for another day. I was always very confused by gentlemen using "aftershave"......after the shave, when they were really using a very light "cologne". Spurred many a conversation back in the day lol. And perhaps today as well

I'm close by, however I'm trying to finish up with the website, add ons, editing, etc. I "think" I saw a sandbox feature in there somewhere that I'll share when it's time, so folks can look around and check for edits, and make any suggestions. Maybe another day or two....

Shaving Cream? Out of the two batches made, I really only trust the third batch. The cook behaved much better than the 2nd batch (Although batch 2 had a lovely bowl of creme) TGQ shaving creme has a cure time, as it's a very old way of doing things, cuz that's just my particular thing. To me to bring something back from many years ago, just gives me a particular sense of nostalgia that I can't quite explain other than I love doing it. So a few more days, but then I'll add in a little modern magic lol

Let's see.....what else? Yes, I'll be having a Father's Day Sale, but I'm trying, trying, TRY-ing to get the website up first. Fingers crossed, as always.... we fly by the seat of our pants around here.

Oh yes.....that scent? the one I listed above with the Rose, Lavender, Neroli, Vanilla, Vetivert, etc. It's coming along quite nicely. A few more tweaks and I believe we'll have a new fragrance on our hands. Or new to us anyway.......the base comes from the 1800's It was so exciting to put it together and then to take a whiff and think to myself this is exactly how a gentlemen smelled back then. I can tell you it's no wonder that men were men back then, and women were women. There's definitely something underneath, that makes you want to step closer.

It is I told my boyfriend, "This is like something Rhett Butler would have worn, and after he scooped Scarlet up and carried her off to the bedroom, I can see why she let him lol"

I'm excited about it. I did have to substitute one ingredient, not because I can't get it...I can, but it's terribly expensive so I thought I would substitute for something close, or what I thought would be close to something back then. Overall I'm really happy with it, but may do a tweak or two before it gets shipped out for review.

OK.....so wow! My apologies for my sudden disappearance. I thought I would be able to get the "website" finished up and ready for our Father's Day Sale, and then ran into a rather large problem on the backend of the website, and had a mini-meltdown to go along with it, lol. While I'm good on the creative end of things, the technical stuff is not my forte and as my Dad likes to say, "It's always good to know one's limitations" and I suppose I reached mine.

I did manage to find someone in this town who can help me with the technical end of finally getting that website up and running. I wish I had found him earlier.......but with a business name of "Cucumber & Co", I'm afraid in my past searches I never got a hit. Turns out though that he's been in business for a long time, has 11 employees and lots of great reviews.

The name comes from his hometown of "Cucumber, WV" in McDowell County.....which is one of the poorest of the poor in the coalfields of WV, followed by Mingo, and Logan. He said, "the name comes from my college days and my first public speaking class at Concord University, when I told folks where I was from, and everyone started calling me cucumber, lol" He said, "he used it to his advantage as it's easy to remember".....ha! and it is, once you know the story.

I am having a Sale......even though I'm late to the game, but will continue the sale thru Tuesday June 18th to make up for lost time. All orders get free samples of shaving cream

I always find it interesting to hear about what other products seem to go well with mine. I'd love to hear how they pair up!
