I have limited internet access and have been off-line for awhile. Thank you BJ for your hospitality and for inviting me, you have a beautiful home and property. It was great meeting all the folks and watching the Honemeisters at work in a relaxed environment.
There was much to learn and everyone was willing to share information. It is a single collective source of information and resources. I think that’s what sums up SRP for me. There were many special razors and hones, etc. I feel fortunate that I was able to handle and use some of them. I was in overload shock.
Joe, I’m glad you had the opportunity to try out one of the Iwasaki’s, they are unique. They are taking a little break now as the Alex Jacques razor is my new favorite. A truly gorgeous razor and shave. You’ll have to try that one out next time.
Thanks to all who made it an enjoyable and fun week end. I am looking forward to next years meeting.
Have a nice day;
Mike

Gentlemen, I wish to say a heart felt Thank you to all of you in attendance! This was my first meet up (to which I took much strife from my wife over going) and I must say that it was simply amazing. I had to leave early since I had to go to NC for work, but I feel blessed to have been able to attend. BJ, you are a generous man to share your piece of heaven with all of us. Lynn, I didn't get a chance to talk to you, but your very presence made the gathering warmer and I owe you and all the guys a great debt for introducing me to such a wonderful hobby (or is it an obsession?). Sham, I only got to talk to you for a second, but it was so nice to put a face with a name. Will, Greg, Gary, Randy, STR8, Ron, Jason & those that I've forgotten to mention, thanks for making a new guy feel so welcome. I took some pics, but I will have to wait until I return from NC to post. You are all truly the best. I can't wait until next year's meet up and I can hopefully stay for the whole thing. Thanks to all of you, this was one of the best times I can recall in quite some time! Cheers!
p.s. Next year I will make a special SRP Homebrew (beer). You guys deserve it!!!

Thanked: 2209First off... Thank you BJ!
This was my kind of meeting, informal, lots of casual conversation with a whole bunch of really good people who share the same obsessions that I do!
Bill Watkins, I thank you, thank you, thank you for all your help when my car went kaput on Sunday. You are a life saver!
BJ.....you have a really great place and any time you want to rent out a sleeping room in your workshop just let me know! Your hospitality was most generous and all of us really appreciate you putting up with us. Maybe we can impose on you again next year?
Sham... finally!, I finally have met you. What has it been...6-7 years ago that you started at the Yahoo SRP? It has been a long time. Your help in evaluating my Jnats was much appreciated. That Salm Coticule is a really good stone and... no...you cannot have my Yellow/Green Eschers! At any price!
Paco, Nun2sharp, Joke1176, Modine, Utopian just to name a few, it was really good to meet you and I really hope to see you at the next razor meet.
This was one of the best weekends I have had in many, many years and that is due to all you really good people that I met.
Lets all keep in touch,Last edited by randydance062449; 06-10-2010 at 04:52 AM.

Well first of all I want to thank BJ for a wonderful weekend. It was his generosity and kindness that made this all possible. The serenity of BJ’s place is out of this world.
This was such a super weekend meeting several of the SRP members and observing their different talents and looking at some of the different razors that were displayed.
Randy: Thanks for the Thank You’s someone had to take care of you. LOL You are a good friend and roommate. Thanks for putting up with me.
Jason (jballs918): Thanks for showing me some tricks on the lathe it was pretty cool.
Lynn: It was good to see you again for the third year in a row. It was good to observe your honing talents, again.
Gary (harleyfxst): It was good seeing you there also. It was nice having another Okie there.
Sham (hi_bud_gl): It was especially nice finally meeting you and putting a face to the guy that is giving me so much for the giveaways. Thank you very very much for the Lamb Chops on Sunday. When I bit into the first one I thought that I was in heaven, they were so very very tasty. I told my wife I would walk back to Fulton to eat another one.
Kelly (nun2sharp): It was nice meeting you and I DON’T agree with your Father, if you know what I mean.
To the rest of you Joe, Ben, Ron, Steve, Glenn, Mike, Will, Greg it was really nice meeting you and talking to some. Hope we can do this again next year……………….IT WAS JUST SUPER. (If I forgot any of you I am sorry I thought that I was doing good to name the ones that I did.) LOL
