What a weekend!
Hey guys,
I had a FANTASTIC time this weekend. It was somewhat of a "drink from a fire hose" for someone who's only been straight razor shaving for 5 weeks, but I learned a lot.
Just a few things I picked up:
1. Lynn Abrams is about the nicest guy on the face of the planet.
2. The more learn, the more I know I don't know.
3. BJ is living on a little peace of heaven on earth - thanks for the hospitality BJ!
4. Despite the fact that we have totally diverse lifestyles & backgrounds, its awesome to spend time with a group of guys who are passionate about their common interest - whether they just got started or have been doing it for years.
5. I have some serious ground to make up in collecting.
6. When your thumb has a disagreement with a firearm, the firearm invariably wins.
I'll post pics in the next few days - I have a lot of catching up to do at work.

Hey guys I had a super time this past weekend. I will post later with pics etc. but right now I need to go to Tulsa to see my Grandson who spent the weekend in the hospital and was released yesterday and then went back again today with a high fever which is what he was in the hospital with over the weekend. As several of you know he has leukemia and is nine year old. Poor fellow.
Later,
Billif anything has been abnormal for a long enough period it then becomes normal.

The thumb
It's doing fine - just a pain in the rear keeping it dry while taking a shower. However, it hasn't stopped me from shaving. Once we got back to Cape I had a great dinner, warm shower and and finished it off with an 11:00 p.m. shave in Lynn's shave den. Wow, just to be shaving in the same room with those Mastro Livi's watching me from their rack on the wall was a treat in and of itself! (thanks Lynn). Check out SOTD for the pic - I took it with my iPhone & the lens was dirty, so it's a crummy pic. I used the Roberson's Best that Lynn honed for me at BJ's.
It was great meeting you too Kelly. I also hope to see you and everyone else in the future.
