OK I'm thinking 10:00 starting time I have a very modest little shop set up so I can't provide any thing spectacular. But I do have a small wood lathe if someone wants to order some Brush nots and turn a handle for them to have your own hand made brush The only place I know of that sells them is the golden nib I've heard good things about them but have no experience with them. Be sure to bring the wood for the handle and the glue to put it together. I also have a bandsaw,Drill press and an old but functional scroll saw. I have a made bottle stoppers and pens can show how to do some basic turning for this. If you plan on doing this or any other power tool work bring some safety glasses and any other necessary safety gear. I have a grill and will get the tank filled. I need some volunteers to bring Hot dogs Burgers and that sort of thing.

Just looked at the golden nib and they have DE razor head kits also if you would like to make one. BUT any one who brings a kit for a cartridge razor will be mocked severely, tarred and feathered then thrown in the lake. Followed be immediate dismissal from my property. Just kidding but you may get mocked a little.
my wife actually OKed people setting up a tent in the yard if you want to crash here for the night this should help for those coming from further away. We have room for a few medium size tents so if you are thinking of doing this I need to know ahead of time.

It's sounding good, Greg. But sooner or later, you're going to have to give us your address.

I was debating wether to post it in this thread or PM everyone. I think it would be safe to post here and it would be a pain to PM every individual any way.
So here it is.
8677 Beaver Street
Alto Mi. 49302
If you have any trouble finding it on what ever map program let me know and I'll see what I can do to help.
I'll be calling the golden nib tomorrow to get some information about there Badger nots and DE kits and will post any relevant info here. I will most likely by a few things.

I may have a problem getting there. I'll be in Grand Rapids without a vehicle. I didn't know we were going to Alto which looks like it's about 20 miles from where I'll be. Is anyone going to be driving through there?

Just called the golden nib to ask a few general questions. I was very impressed with the service over the phone. After having my questions answered I placed an order and just got the confirmation email. In that it states that the order will be shipped today. I don't know how common this is and I did place the order relatively early in the day but so far I am very impressed. I got 3 different badger nots and 3 DE razor kits I will be making 1 brush and one razor before the meet so I am comfortable with the whole process. I will have the 2 part epoxy for glue up so you don't necessarily have to bring your own. the finish for the wood takes a long time to dry though so you may wan't to finish and assemble these when you get home.

Found a good idea for food to day that I wanted to run past every one. There is a company here called Ada Vally Frozen Foods. I have got Steaks, Hot dogs Bratwursts and Burgers from them before. They have all been very good and good prices to. They have a rep that comes around once in awhile in a truck and I asked him if he could come by that day at a certain time. This way we could all pitch in and get a bunch of stuff to grill and all pick what we want and also not end up with way to much or not enough. I told him If we are going to do that I'd give him a call and set a specific time for him to swing by.
I think this would be the most convenient way to go and if you give me an idea of what you might want he can bring specifics.

only 4 weeks away!
I trust you will figure out a way to decide who is getting some free scales? if I'm there for 8 hrs, I figure we can get a couple sets made!
