We had another great meet up today at Tyler's in the American Tobacco Complex in Durham, NC. Adding new people slowly. Waitresses are always interested in seeing the straight razors.
If you are coming through our area of North Carolina some weekend or are local, PM me and let me know when you can join our straight razor group.

You're welcome. Thank you, Brook, for coming up with Tyler's in Durham, instead of Carrboro. Larger space and better parking.

Just moved to triangle area so would love to meet up with some fellow straight razor nuts like me.
From their stillness came their non-action...Doing-nothing was accompanied by the feeling of satisfaction, anxieties and troubles find no place

Another good get together at Tyler's Taproom in Durham's American Tobacco Complex across from the Durham Bulls Baseball Park and DUPAC (Durham Performing Arts Center) on a warm spring day. Two hours of talk and display of razors, strops, soap, etc.
I just PM'd others who showed interest in the past to give us their schedule when they are coming through our area of North Carolina and we'll set up a meet up... for a Saturday. We are expecting someone from Asheville, Greenville, Fort Bragg....and hopefully the poster from California who comes here once a month or so.
James/Mephisto came for his first meet up with us and showed us his nice TI grind of Le Grelot blanks straight with buffalo horn scales. I brought my SRD kangaroo strop, Tony Miller Vegan strop, some Japanese razors and some Bartmann's. Brook brought a new TI as well, in horn and a Boker in vintage scales from another vintage razor.
Joe brought me an Arko shave stick. I've only seen them online. Unusal scent. Joe and I also brought our recent buys from Seraphim/Craig First...Gold Dollar "restores".
Insight from Richard on honing and stropping and breadknifing and lathering.
Please PM me if you want to meet up with our group sometime and we'll set it up.
Robert
