I have to work overtime the next two Saturdays, but could still get together and go to work mid afternoon.

I am good for any weekend, just hit me up with a pm.
From their stillness came their non-action...Doing-nothing was accompanied by the feeling of satisfaction, anxieties and troubles find no place

We still are having our meetings and gathering new people from across the state to our group. Today we had an almost 5 hour honing meeting with lunch at the Carolina Brewery near Pittsboro, NC. Upstairs room with good outdoor light.

looks like you guys had some fun! sorry i missed it, wedding day and such. I'm up for another meet whenever you guys feel up for some coffee or beers or whatever. It's about time for buying my first set of hones and I want to try out some coti or jnat or whatever to make sure shaptons are the way i want to go. I might try and get a few more hones out of these sheets of abrasive paper rickboone hooked me up with back in April and then get to play with stuff at the Asheville meet if we do that again this year... hopefully?!.

Now that we have a good spot to meet, I know we'll meet again soon. We can bring any number of different type honing systems for you to try. I have lapping film as well, but keep going back to my Naniwas.

Yes, we keep on going. Sometimes in smaller get togethers at someone's house to get help in honing.

Thanked: 2209That might work but everyone will have to be dressed like you were yesterday for deer hunting. Insulated bib overalls, insulated boots, 2 layers of thermal underwear, 4 layers of gloves, insulated face mask etc.
I think that might make it a bit difficult to hone?
FYI...10F this morning.Last edited by randydance062449; 11-16-2014 at 08:27 PM.

Thanked: 2209in addition....my garage is at least 4x the size of yours. I would have to fire up the propane forge for 3 hours to just get the chill off!
