A "normal" golfer couldn't get his clubs airborne and they are not forgiving at all. It would be akin to asking a beginning honer to start learning with a warped old rusted blade with a big smile and a frown.

On a more relevant note - Why would one finish off using a dry hone (20K) as mentioned above as a tip for the last strokes with the Gokumyo 20K?
Apologize for the bad comparison but I know nothing about golf save a few names to drop. When I want to make that point I usually use Lance Armstrong's tour bike from years ago, a Litespeed Vortex that I have a copy of and can't do but 21 mph. Anyway ................ I know less about dry honing on anything than I know about golf ..... not even any names to drop, so I'll leave that to the experts to opine on.

Cool- I know from Litespeed's. You got the model with the low horsepower engine. My Kestrel has the same problem.

No water so no solvent on the stone. No particles of stone floating in the mix = finer effect.
Also convenient, as mentioned a la barber hone as some could be used wet or dry.

Yes if you can find the threads it's been discussed before i.e. honing till the finisher is dry or just damp but you can also take a dry clean stone & use it like a barber hone.
Most strokes I would do would depend on previous condition of the razor. I don't always use it as a finisher but the range could be from 3 -15 laps .
This is a 0.5 micron stone so it can also replace pasted strops.
