I got rid of mine, I personally think those dressing stones are a waste of time, a well broken in DMT does same job and has more than just that use.

Stuart was pretty adamant, so I just followed his instructions, doesn't mean anyone else has to...I kind of like doing it.

I just cleaned it with my hand under running water for 10 seconds or so.

I don't use any dressing stones on my Chosera stones......I do what Mainaman does but this is my most expensive stone and I listen to the guy in Japan who sells them and uses them.

    Sounds reasonable.

i have read many page about this stone....and I'm thinking of buying it, in order to make company to my Naniwa set stones (800-5000-12000)
The best price to buy it is toolsfromjapan?

    Stefan,

I saw it somewhere else for high $400 range... Not sure where. ToolsfromJapan is the only other seller and it was at about $276 USD without the shipping.

I'd love to get one, but I have other things occupying my HAD at the moment.

I am pretty sure that Stu is in direct contact with Suehiro for those stones, and whoever was selling for 400, probably was reselling stone(s) bought from him.
I have not seen that stone sold online in Japan other then Tools from Japan.

In any case Tools from Japan offer really good price.

You are correct. There's another vendor in Japan that sells the Gokumyo 20k for well over $450.00. New, and add another number for shipping.
