Thanked: 1936I was having edge failure on most razors. I sent it to several others and they had the same rests. Glen later deeply dove into it an found that only the hardest and strongest of razors could handle the edge. These (typically New York) razors could only handle 2-3 featherlight x strokes.
If you are going to spend that kind of money, I recommend a G20. That is the most versatile synthetic finisher that I have laid my hands on. If a new honer were to ask me if they should go with an Escher or G20, I would recommend a G20 simply because every G20 you sit down with will behave the same...not so with naturals.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you and God Bless, Scott

A G 20 is something I tell myself I need at times. Anyone have one sitting around, forlorn and unused?
