Great looking stone. Beautiful emblem. i never seal, just keep them dry. I am sure recovering hone addicts are having an hard time seeing these pics.

I use craft water-based varnish to seal stones. It dries quickly so you can apply multiple coats in a day. It will dry hard overnight.

It can also be tinted with a drop of brown or black craft paint, if you were going after the Cashew Lacquer look for a Jnat.

It also cleans up with water and drop of dish soap. Any Craft store or Wal-Mart carry it and while you are there pick up one of those synthetic white bristle paint brushes, they lay on a smooth finish, I like the ¾ inch size for stones.

Nice looking stones looks a lot like Vosigine, a couple drops of Smith’s or Ballistol on a wet stone works well with them. My Vosigine will produce an edge similar to a good slate/ Thuringian/Escher.

Lots of good honing info if you search Vosigine, Brown Escher.

I ordered a "La Lune" stone from the website (www.1stone.fr/categorie-produit/pierres-1stone/)
    on April 12th.

It was shipped from France (via La Poste Francais) on April 14th.

It arrived here today (May 1st), via USPS, all in good order.

The color of the stone in the photos is not quite true. It has a purplish hue, and very much
resembles a 3-line Swatty. The working surface is very smooth, but there are some very faint
saw marks. It feels perfectly smooth, but it could perhaps use a bit of burnishing...or maybe
    just a bit of use.

    We'll see how it hones.

Question: What should I use to seal the trademark emblem?
The emblem/Label should not need to be sealed against water. I spoke with Nicolas about this and he said the label was made waterproof.

Have Nicolas send you another label and frame it. Then use the mess out of stone. Looks like it could be made double sided. Doubt it is same as vintage la lune.... curious to hear about performance

    Hello,

The sticker is waterproof, therefore resistant to water thanks to a special paper: it is not necessary to varnish it...

The stone La Lune comes from the original quarries. Comparison made on old "La Lune".

As I am proud of the work accomplished with the "La Lune" team, I am sharing a photo with you today,

Among them: the raw rock, the rock ready for cutting: I will have to make the gabaris with the pen to obtain the best yield without having too many falls or end, the stone once cut, the stone once surfaced with the first grain of 80, then (not in photo): there will be grain 120/240/600 and I finish with a powder of Alumina Monoxide 4000 .

Then the product "The Moon" Finished (or almost) because the stone is then wrapped in a tissue paper in the color of the sticker, wrapped with a hemp rope with a wax button The Moon and of course with is guarantee bulletin that certifies that the stone is indeed "The Moon" and the history of our ancestors FGBC . Thank you gentlemen and see you soon!
