Gary, that Latneuses layer stone is as ugly as sin dipped in misery. I can't believe that they actually marketed that.

Just because we are such good friends I will take it off your hands out of the goodness of my heart...... no, don't thank me .... just send the stone !

it was my first time i have seen so large Garnet in sharpening stone.
I'm just pulling your leg here Sham. These things are found in a schist type rock and many of the garnets are both larger and way smaller than that but it is not a sharping stone. Of course I've never tried it but if you go to the quarry you could cut out a piece as large as you want and polish and grind, who knows-har har.

i'd never sell the hone . but i reckon i'd get much more for it. i've seen a lot of hybrids but not many that look as nice as this one and this size.

Gary, is it ok if I hate you a little bit for owning that stone and not sharing?

Gary honestly I doubt there is another on the planet that looks that good! I would certainly never sell it!!! I see it's also number 1 in the Burton series as well.
