I'm actually having some inconsistencies with it, check my post on coti.be (plus I have more pics on there). I do have to say that I have had a lot more success since then, but I am having to avoid one set of inclusions when I hone on the hybrid side. I am getting about 75% success with it and those that I haven't I do know what happened, so it shouldn't be much longer. I have spent many hours on this hone so far. It is taking me more time than my others, almost as though I am having to relearn many honing techniques.

@Gunner777 - Ya, I am settling just fine. This picture does not do the stone justice I am not home either. I may post more; later.

Gary, was your Les Latneuses the only coticule to be labeled a "Burton Series" stone? I have read that the Burton Series project was canceled. I too have a Les Latneuses coticule, and am excited to use it. Apparently this vein is made up three layers, a fairly fast "normal" coticule layer, a "hybrid" layer, and a very fast "normal" coticule layer. My Les Latneuses apparently has all three layers. The very fast layer, however, only makes up a little sliver of the stone. That said, Bart mentioned to me that little sliver should last a few decades.

Hi altshaver, don't mean to be rude, but if you could show us a picture of your four (?) dimensional hone, I'd really appreciate it!

    regards,
    Torolf

It has been posted on Coticule.be:

Need help with finding my first Coticule - home of the famous Belgian Coticule Whetstone

I never said it was a four dimensional hone. Two coticule layers sandwiching a "hybrid" layer.

i'm sure there was mine and one other burton series. yes both sides of mine are very fastv the yellow being quiker. the hybrid side has a whol;e differant feel . its very hard but feels alamost magnetic.
