I have the set of small stones that you've mentioned, and I like them. There are times when I wish they were a little bigger, though.

I'll admit the only hones I have used are around 3x8 so the thought of dropping that much money on three that small is a little unnerving. Obviously you can learn anything really but do you get good edges off them without too much extra effort?

If you can afford it, get the bigger ones. I don't regret buying the ones that I did, but like I said, there are times where I wish they weren't as small as they are. That being said, yes, I think I get killer edges off them.

I think I will get the bigger ones. Peace of mind and just a couple extra shifts.

Hey guys. I just honed up a PAX razor on my DT/LM Test shaved with it before going onto the WT. Awesome shave so far. Now i also have the CG stone and im wondering where your putting it into your progression. Not sure if i would consider it finer than the WT.

I would agree, the CG seems faster but not quite as fine.

You guys are making my HAD itch. I've already looked.....

I looked and i think there in the 6-8k range. I havent tried it yet.

I love the DT/LM I just honed on the WT so i need to test shave with it.
