There is an unusual ATOR razor hone with label and instructions on UK ebay that more or less looks the same as this one, both material looks and similiar size.

Note the instruktions, move the stone heal to top on the razor/Tool. Not holding stone still and moving razorthat is more common

    Hi,
I got this hone from UK since I needed a cheap small thuringian when traveling with family so I can bring it with me when I have some time over.
I am trying to assemble a traveling kit with mini hones to bring on vaccations.

It is a small hone, like 5x1 with the whole wooden box which it is glued in, so stone is a bit smaller.
Since it was a bit dirty and had some surface scratches I lapped in 220->320->1000

The picture is taked after lapping, hone wet with water and flash on camera.
When lapping with DMT 220 the slurry was ALL WHITE.

Well its definately not a thuri, but what is it? Tom O shanter? I am not really sure about that. WoA?, I am not sure about that. Charnley forrest? Neh, dont think so?
What do you think about it?

Certainly looks like a variety of Llyn Idwal, especially if those two circular spots are percussion bulb (aka 'conchoidal') fractures. Flints and other hard, glassy stones often show a shell-shaped flaking like that.

    Regards,
    Neil

LI is a finishing stone for sure as with any natural stone you have to take the time to test it out and figure how to get the best from the stone.
