    3. One more time on DMT… no chips in the bevel but it doesn't cut even the arm hairs.

5 hours with this. Do you have any i idea what's wrong?

Steel has a memory, Diamond is very aggressive and will leave deep scratches, more so if pressure and excessive laps are used (5 hours).

The deep scratches will turn into edge chips until all the damaged steel is removed.
Yours is a common problem… in a hurry, (low grit, aggressive hone and too much pressure), too close to the problem. (5 hours).

Unless you are removing large chips (1/8 in or larger) bread knife on a 1K, what’s the hurry?

It might die until the OP resolves his problem and comes back to report......
IF you put a cork in it, Whoever!

Use the DMT 325 to work up a heavy slurry on the 1K and try that. The slurry will make the 1K more aggressive but not like the DMT and cause deep scratches

no dear friends, I've a glass (but not any wine ) but just à started with a different blade today (clean the Rust, erase the big chips...) I thought that may help me to concentrate to something else but it just took too much time even with the point of the blade was kind of hard to be ok.

Here a pic of this one

Yes for thèse chips i used DMT. Then 1k but the angle when i rubbed the chips, the point become a little open angle to upside, that's why I need try to hone well the point of the blade otherwise it's ready( just without point of the blade.) Need to hone just point then I will finish for others and I will start a long long long honing session with the first blade. I already stopped it tonight so tomorrow I'll home it with my 1k for two hours or maybe more. Gonna be fun

I'm gonna sleep guys. So tired today with these blades and the hot weather which I hate. I'd like live in Alaska
