Thanked: 237The seller wasn't sure, but he said that the line etched into one side was likely so the barber used the same side each time, which would likely be the reason it's not worn equally. I'll get it out first and see about flattening. It still has a decent amount of thickness even at the thinnest point. I'm not worried about saving the dust, I have two very large slurry stones, and it just seems like more effort than its worth to try and save it. Thanks for the tips.

In this case it is a matter of doing it on the hone itself maybe . I think that this is something Whriten by Iwasaki in his booklet

Bevel set and the next is about to get synthesized.

Thanked: 1936You are going to love that "green brick". It does great without slurry & if with it...depending on the blade and quickness of steel you are wanting to remove.
