Today I found an old Torrey razor and decided to hone it.

    Dmt1200 for initial bevel
    Then the chosera 1k
    Then Sham's natural 3-4k stone
Then my beloved tam o' Shanter dual stone with slurry
Then the Water of ayr side with slurry to dilute
And finally the mega coticuleName: IMG_6885.jpg

Would be appreciated if you could elaborate on what you think of the Water of Ayr edge?

How does it compare to an Escher edge as well in your opinion?

    Thanks.

Had some "Me Time" today so I decided to give a W&B 7/8ths the full monty..

Set the bevel on the Chosera 1k. Then went through the Nagura progression with no dilutions apart from the Tomo and I also did some of that mm up n down business for a few mins each side.

Stropped on linen and 50 cordovan strokes.

It passes all sorts of tests to the highest level..

    Life's good ey

mine leaves an edge that feels like an 8k edge. It is no where near an Escher imho. It leaves a smooth shave but the cutting sensation isnt as effortless.
