Is it just me or does anybody else think the pictures of shaving cream w/stubble are disgusting? It reminds me of using a hanky and posting a picture of the snot inside. To me, it says nothing of the sharpness or smoothness as even a dull razor can produce stubble in shaving cream. I respect everyone here and especially honing enthusiasts that post here but just had to post that I think the old used shaving cream close ups are ummm.....repulsive. It could just be me getting old and crotchety too though.
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

Thanked: 4249Glad you brought that up, for some reason I can't explain I'm totally discusted by those pictures as well. And not to mention the fact that they prove absolutely nothing...

Thanked: 70I must lack sensitivity - it doesn't gross me in the least but it is also of no help.

Thanked: 104All I can add is, that used to suffer from 'weepers' or razor burn. I found that it was worse following removal of a 3 day growth, and the soap and whiskers visible, so I relate that image to weepers. I shave everyday and no more weepers, and like all of us, I love honing, stropping and shaving, it's like being told a cure to to coughing was to smoke cigarettes. No more soap and whiskers please....lol
