I normally don't comment about someone's post that sells Gold Dollars to people that don't know better but...

@Cresentcityrazors, You nailed it! That was a good way to explain it. I've never been able to explain it well being I'm not the best with words but the rolling X explanation was spot on.
    Thank you.
    It's just Sharpening, right?

I bought a 66 ages ago, not from you, but I planned to practice honing and scaling with it, a learning tool.

Trouble is, I honed it and it shaves so well that it's in my rotation for the time being. I think I honed it very well but I can't wait to see how funny my idea of sharp is now, when I look back in another year or two.

If we are going to talk about secret shames. When I think of super models I still think of Christie Brinkley.

LOL, I still think of Samantha Fox and I had that poster of the girl in a tennis skirt showing her bum back in the mid 70's (don't you guys pretend you haven't seen it).

HaHa very good, my wife just after we got married back in the day made me get rid of it, she said it was the poster or her and she was not having it on her bedroom wall.

It took some thinking about because she was quite obvously being unreasonable. It was a perfectly nice poster.

I don't imagine there were many of us newly weds that had to spend a night on the sofa after 2 weeks of marriage.

Good to see Gold Dollars are still going strong.

If you are X-ing on a hone, then it is reasonable to visualise say an inch of razor touching the edge of the hone at any particular time, starting at the heel at the beginning of the stroke and winding up at the toe by the end of the stroke. If you simply concentrate on making sure that inch window is in contact with the side of the hone as you move along the razor's length, you will naturally incorporate a rolling motion. At least that has been my experience.
