If this "child" still lives, he must be one of the best barbers alive. I would really like to be shaved by him.

If that kid still lives he couldn't shave you with a razor OR a spoon. Actually, he probably couldn't even eat with a spoon!

You could also be shaved by Murray Carter! Here's a video of him shaving one of his students, apparently.

He used a knife the student made in the class, an ax, a camp knife, a kamisori, and a traditional straight razor.

Yeah, now that I'm thinking about the boy, his hands must be either very shaky or abnormally stable over his chest. But he mush have (had?) a great deal of knowledge. Mr Carter, I don't doubt your shaving skills, after all, last time I tried to shave my face with an axe, I accidentally cut my chin (not deep). Your unique method of sharpening and the completely inexperienced viewers who will imitate it is what concerns me.

Accepted. I was obviously wrong, twice and I remember that thread. I don't have pictures from my childhood like you do though. Doesn't that violate some child labor law somewhere?

Where gugi comes from, the child labor law is that the child must labor

How did I know this one was going to get shut down.....

Sir, you are making assumptions again and trying to pass them off as fact. There is no realistic way that you could tell the comfort level of his shave from this video other than relying soley on your own preconceived notions, which in itself is unreasonable. Does Mr Carter ever say that his shaves are uncomfortable himself? And why would he, an obsessive sharpener, bother to shave with an intolerable edge? Obviously not to impress the wetshaving community.

You still don't know if you replicated his edge 100% as there are too many variables unaccounted for. When you first started honing did you watch a Lynn vid and nail it the first try?

Let me state again that this type of honing isn't my cup of tea, but until someone here tries an actual Murray Carter edge with an open mind and positive attitude all opinions are speculation and bias....
