IMHO, the number of brilliant shaving wedges out there are balanced by a lot of ordinary shaving wedges especially the ones that rust has taken a hold of at some point.
Actually my next level was the 12k naniwa ss and THEN the jnat which I kinda hoped was like a 16kish stone. I should have test shaved again after the 12k...

Just some final thoughts. Did you shave off the 12k ?
Do you use a loupe etc ? Can you see anything at the edge in the form of chips or shiny bits ?
If you feel the sharpness is not up to snuff ie tugging . You could go back to 4k & 8k.

Yep I use a loupe to check the bevel and no chips and the bevel looks almost like a mirror!

It just looks like I'm going about this all wrong and you guys are pointing that out to me and I thank you for that. First I need to shave off of the 12 K, then I need to go to the jnat. I'm such a newb... sorry for wasting everyone's time but I do appreciate the responses. Let me do things the right way and then I'll ask for advice until then I'm just wasting time with people. But I do appreciate it!

Straight, no chips or burrs of any kind.

So bevel disappears into virtually nothing at the edge ie bevel is complete, as in first pic not as in 2nd pic.

The bevel is a thin line all the way across as in picture two, on both sides. Tell me that's wrong, lol!

That pic is an incomplete bevel. First pic is the ideal.
