What is the purpose of the concave indent at the heel of the blade?
Would it bite a firesteel?
I have put such indents, of lesser degree, on a couple of my survival knives to bite firesteel.

Thanked: 20K-bars are great field knives I have several. On this deployment I have been carrying a Gerber 154CM and have been very happy with it. It is a nice companian to my benchmade folder.
Didnt buy it from here but this is the one I am talking about.
