    I agree with Tomi (Sailor).
One of the best knives I know is the Puukko from Finland.

Another useful knive I still using is the Cold Steel Tanto.
All you need is a knive you can use every day. It should be sharp and if you are outdoor several days, you should take with you also a little finger-stone.
You need no more tools. For more tools you should have a Leatherman...I love the MUT.
I think that's true of many knives, period. Personally, I won't keep something I'm not using, unless its a straight-up knick knack of some sort. But of my interests, if a rifle/bass/razor/knife is just collecting dust, it leaves.

Take a look at Randall Knives models #1, #2, and #14.

They did the job very well, but not as good as my Fallkniven F1

If you want a 'fighting' type knife, then the Boker Applegate is very nice.

    Have fun !

    Best regards

The Fallkniven A1 and A2 are combat knives.

I'll admit to being really excited about the Survive Knives GSO 4.1

I'm more into bushcraft/survival knives than I am into combat knives, honestly. I know that there's a lot of overlap, but I still just don't like anything too bayonetty. I see knives as tools rather than weapons or collector's items.

I'd never heard on 'em before, but I love the looks.

Now that I have a couple of knives, I'm thinking of getting into sharpening them using water stones. Both mine came with the typical, Gerber-level sharpening solutions. I sure as hell ain't shaving the hair on my arm with either of them. Uh, I'd likely start honing my razor as well.

So I'm looking for an affordable but workable set of stones. Do any of you guys sharpen your bush knives?

I pre-ordered the GSO 5.0. Can't wait for it to arrive!

You should also take a look at the knives by Blind Horse Knives if you prefer bushcraft designs.

Oooh! Nice. I'm going to look forward to your 'review' on that one!

I came across the knives via the Equip 2 Endure Youtube channel and really fell for the 4.1 (so now I'm trying to find a way to pay for one). How did you discover them?
