Anthony Hopkins is a very fine actor, no complaint. But I don't think he has any Welsh heritage (I could be mistaken) and lacks therefore that distinct soul and timbre of the Welsh tongue and soul that issued from Dylan Thomas' readings of hie own works. I can not forget his rendition of "Do not go gently into that dark night".

I live a half hour away from Dylan Thomas's house in Laughrne, pass it everyday on my way to work the estuary there is absolutely stunning when the tide is in. Originally Posted by Razorfeld

Thank you bombay for finding the video clip. It has once again reminded me of the frailty of the human body and soul. I will ask you to remember to post it again in 25 years when, at 105 I go to greet this great poet. Yes, I fight and rail at this life every day to make sure it is extended another day because I have yet to feel that I have accomplished what I was set here to do. I am not maudlin in mind on this.
