Thanked: 983Jamie, that is some beautiful wood on both those razors. I've not seen Yew of any nationality before. I love the look and the grain.

Thanked: 485You can of course buy scales, the Revisor site has some, with pins. I've never unpinned a razor but if you head to The Workshop area of the site you'll find some info there. I believe normally the old pin is knocked out. I have a razor that has nice Canadian Maple scales and the pin is a tiny tiny bolt with nuts on either side. This is a good idea, i think, as i can tighten the scales easily when they loosen. That also means you don't have to learn how to pin the razor. I believe the back of a heavy spoon can be used to tap the end of the pin to pin the razor.
Sorry i'm not much help.Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?
