With a new blade its the same as a newly honed razor. Its sharper and less pressure is used compared to slightly dull where you can get away with very light pressure. You switched blades but probably not pressure.

I guess bad is all relative, it just stung a bit more than usual when I put on my aftershave, I think my lather was a bit dry. Don't get disheartened, I used to regularly not want to touch my face aftershaving, now it's more of a mild dis comfort for a very brief period.

Thanked: 983If the face is acceptably smooth but stings with the application of AS, whether red and irritated or not, you've used too much pressure (or some other facet of the shave could be off). If the face is acceptably smooth and the application of AS gives no more than a mild tingle for a few seconds, in my book that is success.

Thanked: 1160Indeed !! Funny right now I'm watching a TV show called Claduaghs Irish food trails before I go to work and the topic is shrimp and sheelfish. It's not in a kitchen...she's out on the water with the fishermen . Beautiful land. Having some Sottish and Welsh blood I kin appreciate that beauty and the weather especially which I favor. Which reminds me ......I gotta get ready now and S,S AND S. Talk at you guys later.
