    Welcome from out west Kon,
No need to be afraid, just take it slowly. While you are waiting for your purchases it would be worth reading through the library and other beginers section posts and you will find themes, though if you have been using a D/E and presumably proper soaps and brushes etc the learning will be easier as you will understand a bit about stretching and direction of growth.
    All the best
    Ed
    Edit-
Sorry a bit late on the draw there, dont worry about the minor flesh wound, it'll heal

Not sure if its the angle but it looks like the spine is slightly off the strop in the piccie, i only have a small screen as well so it could be that too, still it looks like you are well set up.

Thanks Ed, I was posing for the missus at the time but made sure the spine was on the strop when I did start stropping .. I took my time and was really gentle too.

Just a small nick. Check out the cut of the day thread. Good motivation to keep your wits about you and go slow.

We all nick our strop and our faces in the beginning. It does get easier it just takes a little practice.
