Its been just over a week shaving with the str8, and after a few nicks I decided on becoming a tad daring and went across and against the grain this morning. I used Somerset's pre shave oil and lathered up a storm with TOBS Sandalwood shaving cream ... BBS was the result with only the one war wound obtained as I went against the grain on my neck .. I'm getting there eventually!

Week 2 and a bit of shaving and my technique is constantly improving ... Each shave produces BBS results with 3 passes ... Razor is still plenty sharp ... I'm so glad that I crossed over to the dark side!

Thank you Ed, I'm now getting on par shaves as what I did with my slant bar razor, if not better!

With only about 15 shaves to my name I could feel that my shaves started to dull, hence a little more pressure applied, making my face somewhat sore. I ended up getting a bottle of Chromium Oxide semi paste .50 microns, applied it sparingly to the hide part of my stropping paddle and let it be overnight. This morning I gave the old girl 10 laps on the crox and 30 laps on smooth leather ... By George what a difference!!! Little pressure was applied and the stubble was a popping lol ... Finished her off with Alum, Thayer's Witch Hazel, Proraso Crema Pre Barba and a couple of sprays of Pino Silvestre ... Life is good lol
