I've never experienced this before ... Is it perhaps that I've been using straights exclusively the past few months and my skin has gotten used to it ? I also changed the blade in case it was a dud, still with the same result ... Anybody else experience this? Just to add that I performed my usual 3 pass shave ... WTG, ATG, XTG ... Cheers!

I use both cut-throats and a slant bar razor (not at the same time or even in the same shave of course), but I still can't help you much. I have never experienced an issue swapping between the two styles, and I don't shave my chin as I sport a goatee. It's been awhile since I've been on mate, remind me, have you been using a DE for long? A technique issue is what I'm getting at.

Thanks Steve, I'm forever learning something new on these forums as there's heaps of info available ... G'day Mick, hope that you're well. I've been using a slant for 30 years ... I too sport a goatee but its making the area under my chin red raw. Perhaps technique might be the issue. I'll continue to monitor it though.
