Well, it was technically "beer" before they warmed it and trapped the vapor.
Yum.

BOTD DEC 20 Flying Dog...Raging Bitch
This past Sunday I had to go out with Mrs Hog to finish our Chirstmas shopping (I HATE shopping) so after the torture, I treated myself to some adult refreshments at the Pub. For today's presentation I bring you an IPA (India Pale Ale) IPAs are highly hopped, and this one is no exception. When India was a colony of Great Britain, the ale imported from the Brits was highly hopped to preserve the ale due to the long voyage from Europe to India...ergo, they are called INDIA PALE ALE. And now to my taste notes:
Appearance: Funny label and funnier title, this ale is brewed by Flying Dog Brewery out of Delaware. I opened the bottle and half filled the pint glass, immediatelly the hop scent hit my nose like a sledge hammer. Good head; even better lacing. Gold color, no fizziness to complaint about.
Smell: I can smell the hops a mile away, some floral scents, very little malt lingering in the background.
Taste: Man this is good. It tasted fruity, lingering taste of apricots and bananas in the foreground, the hops comes alive afterwards. Great balance, great taste.
Mouthfull: The beer is not highly carbonated, not heavy; but it is light and fruity. Goes down nice...I don't mind the hops.
Drinkability: This beer is not your "mow the lawn" and drink beer type; is not a thirst quencher. Folks this beer is for serious drinking. I will pair this beer with some brie cheese and crakers; it will be excellent with roasted fowl. Boy, I need to get back to the Pub for another one..hum, maybe this Friday. CHEERS. HOG
